Just a little update

College definitely keeps you busy like i've said, which has caused me to not post any new blogs in awhile. So let me update you on my past month. I've been volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity warehouse office on my days off from classes. You never know what to expect while volunteering here, some days they have me running around with different projects while other days I'm waiting for projects to come in. This as you could imagine is the total opposite as one of their building sites. During these days there is always something to keep you busy. The sayings true "You learn something new everyday," while volunteering at Habitat I learn something new about this organization every time I'm there. One of the many interesting things that I have learned about this organization is that the families must help build another families home before they start building their own. This is one of my favorite things about the program because it's a great example of how a community can come together to help one another. Next week I'll be at a building site in Leesburg, Florida. I'm not the strongest of the bunch so if you see me struggling with a few boards lend out a helping hand, we all need a little help at some point in our lives! I'm encouraging you to reach out and lend a hand!
